Police Identify Woman Found Stabbed To Death In Charlotte

Charlotte, N.C. - Police have identified Yennifer Karina Fuentes as the woman who was stabbed to death late Monday night. Officers said Victor Alfonso Cruz Garcia is being charged with Fuente's murder.
Fuentes was found dead at about 11 p.m. on Ingleside Drive off South Boulevard and Archdale Drive in south Charlotte.
Police said they believe the stabbing was possibly domestic-related.

Woman, 31, dies of stab wound

Yennifer Karina Fuentes, 31, was found dead inside a home in the 9500 block of Ingleside Drive Monday, the apparent victim of a domestic violence dispute.
A CMPD report said Fuentes died of a stab wound.
Victor Alfonso Cruz Garcia, 22, was arrested and charged with murder. The report did not state the relationship between the victim and the suspect.

Detectives Investigating a Homicide on Ingleside Drive
UPDATE: The victim in this case has been identified as Yennifer Karina Fuentes, 31. The suspect in this case is Victor Alfonso Cruz-Garcia. He is charged with the murder of Ms. Fuentes.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Detectives are currently conducting a homicide investigation at 5927 Ingleside Drive in Westover Division. The victim has been identified; pending notification of next of kin her name is being withheld. The incident occurred on Monday, June 1, 2009, at approximately 10:44 p.m.
Westover Division officers responded to check the welfare call at the above address. When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene. Based on preliminary witness statements, this is believed to be a domestic related incident. Detectives have developed a suspect in this case. He will be transported to police headquarters for questioning.
Homicide Detectives are currently canvassing the neighborhood. Crime Scene Search is on scene as well processing the scene.
